The Complaint:
Black Americans are labeling this Japanese executive as a racist. He chose to put a monkey in a TV commercial for his company. That monkey was at a podium, a setting that obviously suggested the environment in which Senator Barrack Obama so often finds himself. Black Americans were angry, because Black Americans have spent years trying to overcome the stigma attached to earlier associations, associations that compared Black Americans to monkeys or apes.
